After not having light for 48 of the last 72 hours, I can officially declare that Dumsor (Can someone remind me of what the minister said we should call it?) is back.
And like all other things that is going haywire in this country, the Electricity Company of Ghana or GRIDCO or whoever is in charge of load shedding in this country wants us to cry our heart’s out before they officially announce it.
From the way people have been ranting online lately about the rampant “light-off” in their neighbourhoods, I know it is not just me. I am shocked that after all the measures this no goal government claims to have put in place, this persistent devil is back amongst us. To think that they would not even be decent enough to give us a timetable so we would know when to expect our lights to go off.
Our leaders keep failing us and the funny thing is there is little or nothing we can do about it because the opposition are busy fighting their own demons rather than getting the ruling government on their toes. ECG, GRIDCO and everyone else involved should bow their heads in shame.
