A Plus Says Jailing People For Using Herbs Like Weed Doesn’t Make Sense

Comedian and rapper A Plus has come out strongly in an online rant against the drug policies of this country.
In a post on his Facebook page Tuesday, the biting satirist said even though people get jailed for using some herbs in this country, other drugs like alcohol and cigarettes are actually more dangerous, but those are somehow legal.
He also added that some of the big men in the country legislating these drugs and such actually indulge, but then when others use it, they are punished for it.
A Plus wrote on his page…

So many people have gone to jail for boiling leaves and drinking it. Why? Because the politicians who smoke it claim it is illegal. Some of the police and judges who arrest people and destroy families by jailing them smoke it. People are free to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol even though it has serious health implications. The politician and some very powerful people make money from it (alcohol and cigarettes) so they say use it even though it kills you. How on earth can alcohol and cigarettes be legal but declare the herb illigal? I think it must be the other way round.
There are some highly medicinal plants that grow in my backyard. Sometimes I weed them but they grow again. I didn’t plant it. God put it there. It includes Taraxacum aka dandelion, Amaranthus spinosus, Acanthospermum hispidum, Solanum lycopersicum, Cannabis sativa etc. How can you arrest people just because a plant is growing in their house? I don’t smoke. I chose which one I want to boil and drink every morning. It makes me feel good. It’s healthy. I don’t see anything wrong with it. I love my herbs….. ‪#‎TheLawIsBlind ‪#‎TheLawIsCrazy
