Bukom Banku Says He Is Only Bleaching Till August

Boxer Bukom Banku recently made headlines when photos of his horribly bleached skin hit the web, showing the unbeaten pugilist looking almost like some overripe fruit.
Banku has come out now to talk about the photos, insisting that he is indeed bleaching. According to him, his bleaching has a purpose, as he is looking to be named Ghana’s ambassador to Germany, so he has to look the part.
“I am bleaching my skin because when John Mahama wins 2016 elections, he will make me Ghana’s ambassador to Germany. I am bleaching myself for German people to know that German peo­ple and Bukom Banku are one,” he said.
Banku added that he is highly regulating his bleaching, and thus the bleaching would have no effect on him.
“Bleaching can’t affect my skin because I have a very good skin. Again, rashes can’t affect me because I am using Cleaning Claire and I am taking medicine as well. So if you see me now, you will observe that I am from Germany. I want Ghanaians to know that I am a German now.
“I am at Ho right now with the President, John Mahama, at Okudzeto Ablakwa’s constituency.” he added.
Banku, who presumably was serious throughout this entire conversation, added that he is only bleaching for a short while.
“People should­n’t be worried. I am changing my system for a while. I want to tell Ghanaians not to worry about me. I will bleach till August and then stop.”
In case the NDC fails to win power, therefore cutting short his ambassadorial dream, Kamoko says he still has boxing to return to.
