Irate Cape Coast Polytechnic Students Go On Rampage Over School’s Failure To Make University Status

It seems to me, surely- that in protesting the failure of your school not being made a University- a riot is not exactly a good advert.
Government made a promise to upgrade some public polytechnics to the University level, and so far six have been chosen to benefit from the exercise. Cape Coast Polytechnic, which considers themselves one of the better ones in the country, did not make the mark.

In response, students have been rampaging across the school premises today, even to the point that police presence has been needed on campus to keep things in check.
Dressed in red, the students have blocked certain premises on the campus, including the entrance to the home of the rector. They are also preventing vehicles from entering the campus.
Again, this is not the way to convince anyone you deserve to be upgraded.
