Top Suspect In The Murder Of The Late MP For Abuawa North Has Been Arrested


A police operation has picked up the top suspect in the murder of Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, the late NPP MP for Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region.
Mr Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death by unknown assailants at his residence in Shiashie in Accra on Tuesday, February 9 2015. The assailants are believed to have climbed a ladder to access the MP’s bedroom.
Police had initially picked up five people in connection to the murder, but this latest arrestee looks like a real a kingpin of the operation.
Starrfmonline is reporting that the Police have arrested the prime suspect in the murder of the MP. Security sources have confirmed to the site that a raid on Thursday morning led to the arrest of this suspect.
Investigations would continue, as police try to unravel how deep of a plot it was to dispatch of the MP.
J.B Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death at dawn on Tuesday, leaving behind a wife and two children. This was his third term serving his constituency in Parliament. He served as a deputy minister during the reign of former President Kuffour, and is the grandson of one of Ghana’s founding fathers, his namesake, J.B Danquah.
