The 2015 edition of the Ghana Movie Awards comes off tonight at the Accra International Conference Centre, and GhanaCelebrites.Com would be bringing you live and exciting updates from the program.
The nominations list was released on December 18, and people have been talking about that non stop since.
There was the controversy over the selection of Beasts of No Nation, sparking off a huge conversation over what should and should not be nominated for our local awards.
Several local actors and actresses also registered discontent with the selection process, with Yvonne Nelson and Yvonne Okoro passing non complimentary comments about the event.
Nevertheless, Beasts of No Nation leads the pack with 16 nominations, followed by ‘The Cursed Ones’ with 15.
The show kicks off tonight at 2300 GMT. As noted earlier, live updates would be provided here throughout the evening. Check back for more….

This time the connection is a bit solid. But I think the MCs are talking too much. Start the show already!
two questions..Was the Award Ceremony planned at all? Did they charge an Entry fee?
Ask again
This is no longer sad..It is annoying and this is supposed to be the 6th year..
This looks like a total joke. What the hell is going on? Is this a child play or something?
Can someone just tell the MC/Host to do the presenting and stop the “supposed” jokes?I feel punished watching this..
We all do feel punish. I understand why the Ghanaian stars were worried about BONN. It is winning all the awards
Yeah..they might as well give them all the awards so we can all sleep.Waiting for Yvonne Nelson’s update like my grades..lol
Nelson is by now crying blood in her house
This is dreadful to watch.
No more jokes please!!!!!
Someone should kick this fake comedian off the stage
So they don’t have playback for some of the nominations. This is like 1720 awards night
More like 543 BC..I can’t believe this.
The comedians are back to kill us with their nonsense
i’m already bored to death..they might as well
Shirley sitting there like I did not come here for this Crap..
Yeah
i’m not gelling with some of the comedies at all. Miss Nadia, the American woman…In my Wendy Williams voice and fake American accent, ‘how u doin’…..
Nadia will die with that accent. She won’t change and she thinks it makes her a queen, more like a clown
Why didn’t they make Funny Face host the award because he is funnier than those two yawa men
What is with the whole PowerPoint bullet point lists? What happened to visuals and excerpts from the movies? Is this not a movie awards show? The absence of excerpts is really making the show boring.
na so we see am oo.574 B.C awards paa..tweaa..just waiting for Yvonne Nelson’s blasting.that should be more interesting.
Adjetey nailed it. The best so far
Michael Adjetey Annan’s performance is so spectacular!
Yeah so far that’s the best thing to have happened
Beasts of No Nation continues to win it all oh Ghana movie awards
And I didn’t miss anything by not watching the awards. Any Ghanaian award ceremony is nothing but a joke with the lackluster actors and actresses with their fake Obroni accents and bad presentation overall.
