American singer Katy Perry has been named the highest-earning female musician in 2015.
The 31-year-old singer made a tremendous jump in the rankings—from her fifth position to clinch the top spot—for making $135 million this year, mainly from her Prismatic World Tour and other endorsements.
According to Forbes, Perry grossed more than $2 million per city over the course of 126 shows in our scoring period, and added to her total through deals with Coty, Claire’s and Covergirl.
“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Perry told Forbes earlier this year. “I’m an entrepreneur… I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”
Taylor Swift stole the No. 2 spot on the list, earning $80 million. She sold more than 3.6 million copies from her album “1989”.
