Violence Hits NPP’s Headquarters Again | Reports Say Chairman Paul Afoko Has Been Suspended

Published by

Ghana’s biggest opposition party-the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been dealing with internal chaos which recently led to violence at the party’s headquarters.

Today, violence has again erupted at the same headquarters—cars and motorbikes have been damaged.

Apparently, the cause of the violence was the decision of the disciplinary committee of the party to suspend Chairman Paul Afoko, following a petition from the party’s Council of Elders.

StarrFmOnline reports that, when supporters of Paul Afoko known as Bolga bulldogs had a hint of the suspension, they went to the headquarters where they clashed with the party’s security, also known as invincible forces.

Currently, the NPP’s flagbearer-Nana Akufo Addo is out of the country on a political tour.
