Ghanaian high life musician-Ofori Amponsah who some days says he is a pastor and some days deny this has been accused of stealing his latest single ‘Alewa’.

Andy who was the first runner up in the season 1 of mentor has asserted that ‘Alewa’ is his song—which his team were working hard to get a popular high life singer to feature on it.

“The song ‘Alewa’ was produced by NADACO in Kumasi. My producer told me the music sounded like Hi-life so I should feature a popular Hi-life singer to sing the chorus version,” he disclosed to Sammy Flex on Pluzz FM on Tuesday.

“I had first considered to feature my mentor colleague, Okuraseni Samuel but later told popular Hi-Life singer, Kofi Nti and he advised me to change some lyrics in the song but I declined. He told me to wait for him at Taifa PI Studio which he never showed up.”

“He later called me on phone to meet him to discuss something with me but told him I was done with the song until I recently heard that Ofori Amponsah has released a similar song with same titled ‘Alewa’.”

However, Kofi Nti who was said to have helped gotten the job done denied ever “given out lyrics of Andy’s ‘Alewa’ song to Ofori Amponsah but only advised him to change some portion of the song.”

Ofori Amponsah is yet to respond to this allegation.
