Nathan Kwabena Adisi (Bola Ray) and Kwabena Duffuor’s Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Network has re-launched one of its radio stations – Empire Fm – in Takoradi.
The official launching ceremony which came off on Saturday morning, September 19, 2015 began with a float around the principal streets of Takoradi on Friday. The launch witnessed the unveiling of the station’s ultra-modern office.
Speaking at the ceremony, CEO of EIB Network, Bola Ray, said Empire FM is poised to disseminate the right information to the public; stand for the truth, report on what is right, and sensitize the people of Takoradi.
“We also see ourselves as a lifestyle brand. It means we are going to cover a lot of things that’s happening in our communities to impact the society. If there’s a major clean-up exercise, we want to be seen as partners, helping to make sure that that’s realizable. If there’s a church activity or huge social event, Empire wants to be a major player as well,” he added.
Paramount Chief of Essikado Traditional Area, Nana Kobina Nketsia V, expressed gratitude towards EIB Network’s initiative for helping build a better Ghana in a socio-economic sense. He entreated executives of Empire FM to use their outlet to foster unity in Ghana.
Several dignitaries including executives of EIB Network, Hon. Kobby Okyere Darko (MP for Takoradi), Nana Kwaku Awotwe III (Tufuhene of Esikado), and Nana Kobina Nketsiah V (Paramount Chief of Essikado Traditional Area) graced the occasion.
