Mariah Carey is set to receive her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced on Monday, July 27.
The ceremony is set to take place on August 5, with speeches from Lee Daniels, Brett Ratner, and Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid.
According to Billboard, Carey is one of the most successful acts in music. She has 18 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, sold millions of albums and won a number of awards, including five Grammys.
Mariah’s star would be the 2,556th star on the famous walk, which honours the best in the showbiz industry.
