Ghanaian musician-Mzbel (real name Nana Ekua Amoah) is barking at the wrong tree—in the sense that is looking to have a discourse with an extensively intolerant group of people (Ghanaian Christians) about their faith and religion.
Telling a Ghanaian to ask reasonable questions about the ‘God delusion’ is like inviting thunder to strike your head, let alone to tell such a person that the Bible stories he or she believes are myths. Of course they are myths but no matter what evidence you present, faith will win for the credulous people—since faith simply means, believing whatever without evidence.
Few days ago, Mzbel trended online for saying, she does not believe in the famous Jesus Christ Bible story—calling it a scam/myth. She asked that people should begin to question these religious stories which seems to be a reasonable request but she was slammed by thousands of people on social media.
She doesn’t seem to have learnt from this as she took to facebook yesterday to post a link on this same conversation—asking people to educate themselves first before attacking her personality.
Once again, several fans descended on her—and the insults were really pathetic, a clear indication that you cannot hold such a discourse with a large group of Ghanaians, made worse by their religious credulity.
Check out what some people had to say to her below….
