Gospel Musician-Cecilia Marfo KICKED OUT of the Church of Pentecost

It is quite interesting to hear a Church saying a particular person has no right to be part of them—and this is so because the person has failed to obey certain directives of the Church and not necessarily having SINNED against God.

But then the Church is an association which must have rules which should be adhered to, by its members. God wouldn’t kick any one out for certain things but His Church will do.

Reportedly, Gospel musician-Cecilia Marfo has established a prayer centre, contrary to the provisions of the Church’s directive. She has not really broken any of the 10 commandants but she cannot be part of God’s children of the Church of Pentecost for doing what she probably thinks is right for her and humanity—-which goes against what the church wants.

The Church of Pentecost is one of the most liberal churches in Ghana but it doesn’t seem they have any space to accommodate members who go ahead to establish prayer camps or centres without the Church’s approval or control.

The Ashaiman Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Nene Amegatcher confirmed Cecilia Marfo’s suspension from the Church, saying “the church has a policy that nobody should operate a new prayer centre or prayer camp. We have some prayer centers and prayer camps which are authorized by the church. And that anybody who is blessed with any spiritual gifting should operate within the church and not go outside the church and have his or her own centre. And we realized that she has started operating prayer centres outside the church; we’ve spoken to her about it a couple of times but to no avail”.

“She didn’t obey the Area Executives and therefore the Area Executive Committee sat down and realized that as long as you don’t want to go with the policy of the church; there should be a disciplinary action (suspension) taken until there is a change of mind” he said.

I was thinking the Church will support whatever is good and whatever will take people to heaven and help humanity, not only those ‘whatevers’ that will take place within their control.

Anyway, not that fact—Apostle added that, Cecilia Marfo “has not been ex-communicated. Ex-communication means that she has been dismissed from the Church of Pentecost. That cannot be true. She has been suspended from taking part in any active church work. And that’s indefinite.
