Light-skin actress Nadia Buari is twice Ghana’s ‘Best Supporting Actress’. Chris Attoh has also in the past received ‘Best Actor’ and the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ nominations – together they are two of Ghana’s best.
The former is one of the leading actresses in Ghana currently whiles the latter’s acting abilities has not been ever questioned. Yet the two have not featured in the same movie.
For the first time, courtesy the writer of the hit television serial ‘Things We Do For Love’ the two have featured in a movie titled ‘Be My Guest’ together. The movie is written by Eddie Seddoh Jnr. and directed by Selassie Tetteh, co-writer of award winning movie ‘Checkmate’ from the stables of Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s Sparrow Production.
‘Be My Guest’ in all indication is a suspense filled movie with interesting and shocking twist and turns.
Coming from the same head that created arguably the best television series ever in Ghana, the movie is sure to spark curiosity, apart from the intrigue and uniqueness of the storyline, the audiences are going to be in for a real treat as they watch Nadia Buari and Chris Attoh act together for the first time.
Looking at the writer’s previous classy works which includes ‘Things We Do For Love’, ‘Buddy Language’, a radio serial which was a hit on Joy FM and was adapted on TV and ‘L&G’, ‘Be My Guest’ is definitely a must watch.
Another reason which will whet viewers’ attitude for the movie is the concept behind the artwork [poster]. It is not your normal movie poster with virtually all the cast in the movie. The poster itself confirms that the movie is filled with suspense.
Crew behind the movie includes Yaw Ladzekpo, his good and quality shots confirm why he is considered as a top Director of Photography [D.O.P] inGhana. Another name is Tony Tormeti, award winning Production Designer. His set designing or building sets have won him honours with multiple-award winning movie ‘Sinking Sands’ and ‘Ties That Bind’.
FormerNigeria’s Most Beautiful Omotu Bissong was introduced in the movie. Also featuring in the movie are Timothy Bentum, Fred Amugi, Zapp Mallet, Lious McCarthy, David Bangura. It also has two of Ghana’s showbiz icons making their debut screen appearances; TV & radio personality Eddy Blay Jnr. & ace musician Ben Brako amongst other new entrants.
‘Be My Guest’ is a Wide Angle Entertainment Production with Bernice Agyemang and Ruby Kyeme as Associate Producers. The movie is set to premiere, Friday, February 10th at the National Theatre.
