Viasat 1 is a broad-based entertainment channel featuring a combination of international movies, series, sports etc.
In August 2010 the station, one of the private television stations in Ghana will air first of its locally produced programs ‘The One Show’.
‘The One Show’ will be in the form of a female skewed talk show and will cover topics such as family, entertainment, fashion, social issues, etc.
The show will be hosted by one of Ghana’s most prolific and dynamic personalities – Jocelyn Dumas of Rhythmz fame.
The 1 hour daily (Monday to Thursday) show is a Viasat 1 production with all the technical and creative crew coming from its production outfit in Ghana.

Via sat 1, Monday April 18th, you let to obese lady’s talk about nutrition. They told you a pile of bare nonsense based on the ancient American fad book ‘Fit for Life’, NB: There is whatsoever not the slightest scientific backing for this ridiculous and counterproductive diet. There is no such thing as elimination period etc. Eating fruit in the morning? OK, but don’t believe the lie that this is not straining for your body. Fruit makes your intestines work harder, thats it. Very healthy by the way. The -very limited- succes of this book is based on the advice not to eat carbohydrates & protein together. This is detrimental to your wellbeing. If you do not eat both nutrients together (fats are less important) this will cost you lean body mass and only make you more obese.The weight only goes down because you do not eat f.e. fufuo & chicken together, but separate. In total you will eat less in a day.
There is a proverb in Twi: Kwaterekwa se obema wo ntoma a tie ne din. The same goes for your guests of this morning: If a fat person advises you a healthy diet, do not believe him (or her).

Hello Joselyn, your program is very nice. i’m sorry to use this medium to correct you on the pronunciation of the word ‘musician’ since i couldn’t think of any else. you keep pronouncing it ‘musikcian. The ‘c’ in the word ‘music’ has a ‘k’ sound but once the suffix ‘ian’ joins, the ‘c’ totally loses the ‘k’ sound. please bear that in mind. The word musician has no ‘k’ sound.
